We're settling into the routine of fall at K.I.D.S. Inc., and we have the chance to see and work with our students more regularly. Our school visits, after-school programs, and weekly events are flourishing and we are truly amazed by what God is doing.
As we sit down to get in touch and update you, we could tell you about how many kids come to elementary club, the events coming up, or even our persistent and ongoing needs. But we’re not going to do that. Because more important than any of those things is that during this season we are seeing students come to know Christ.
This is the most beautiful, most powerful, and most important thing that could happen in our work, and we want to share it with you. Over the next few weeks, we will introduce you to a few specific students who have recently given their lives to Christ, so that you can join us in praising God and in praying for them.
Meet Logan
"Since being a Christian, my life is better."
When asked why he’s a Christian, Logan said “I’m a Christian because God is cool. I mean, He died for us when he could have just wiped us out!”Logan is a freshman in high school, and has been coming to K.I.D.S. Inc. activities for over two years. He is one of our most faithful students. He is sincere, eager to help others, and deeply wants to see others come to know Christ.
He went on, “Since being a Christian, my life is better. I was starting to get involved with some bad things, but when I became a Christian I quit.”
We asked Logan what’s hard about being a Christian, and he admitted that people around him try to pull him away. “It’s easier to not be a Christian,” he said.
After following God for some time, this summer Logan decided to be baptized. “I just decided I was ready,” he says. We are incredibly proud of Logan, and thankful for what God is doing in his life.
How can you pray for Logan?
- First, he asks for your prayer that he would grow closer to God. It is humbling to see his faith and desire to grow.
- Second, he wants to see others come to know Christ, and to find what he has found. “I would ask them to consider it,” he says.
- Third, pray for strength for Logan to resist temptation, and stand up for what is right in a world that doesn’t make it easy.
In addition, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that we can continue to disciple our students, and effectively show them the love of God.
As always, thank you for everything you do! God is working through your prayers and support, and we are more grateful than we can say.
